The idea of mounting, by Petzl, the lamp and the battery case on the headlamp was promptly adopted by scouts : the hands are free to perform any activity, and the beam of light always follows the line of sight. The minuscule Tikka LED , ultra-lightweight and so small it can be slipped into a pocket, marked significant steps in Petzl's development process.
